I used to be an indiana jones of the set ups I would see 5 set ups per minut but was my poket and my lambo brain looking at those set ups and not my racional me that cost me some money but now I spend the minimum time if I don't see something I really like I don't trade

I’ve moved SL’s back a few times, but my biggest achilles heel is pulling profits too early. It has worked a few times too. But it’s also rough seeing my trade go an extra 100 pips when my paranoia isn’t correct. 12:20 summed it up perfectly about validation...

My bad habit is always not doing what I plan to do due to emotions. Eg: I will close half once it reaches ...

But i get greedy and not close, and it ends up hitting SL or breakeven

ofc it’s a tip ..knowing what ;) not to do to fck it up ..

paraphrasing, take 10 trades and 4 are losers. You have a decent Sharpe ratio. Now, cut just TWO of those bad trades, and you could effectively DOUBLE that Sharpe.

.. love this ;) developing a feel for a mkt ..mkts do have their own personalities but not going to go into that whatnot trading on the DOM (which is (should be) for order entries – only – anyways) but the mkts are like a bus stop; ok ;p depending on where you live might be d/trading as opposed to investing ..miss a greyhound passing by every 6mths in the midwest you’re fcked ..point is, there’s always another one around the corner ..

No intuition is not bullshit .. it can be prior knowledge, that's not all, it doesn't explain how you can get a feeling to slow down right b4 you would hit a deer

Telekinesis actually is moving, being able to, stuff around (with your mind) ..A better case can be made for ..well, MGI; you aim for a 1:2 or w/ever RR based on mkt structure; if you just decide on that that’s the mkt telling you shit; you're imposing your will on the mkt;

..psychic is demonic anyhow but that’s not emotions; above re; RRs that could be ..money can become very emotional and often does for ppl ..

.. Totally true; we can't remove emotions..so don’t; instead, manage/learn to manage them feel, know what it is you’re feeling at the moment and just press through that, trade through it in a cloud as if it were ..

Like Curtis Faith (before he went nuts) I dunno by what some freak of nature but money has nvr affected me; or then I ;) simply haven't traded big enough..I hear we all have a nmbr ..

.. I’m loving these .. reason ppl are nervous is because, frankly; honestly? ..they have no idea what they’re doing ..confidence is restored by a trading system ..

.. slight caveat here if I may offer; (A. Elder guy’s insane but) traders take a good system and ruin it by attempting to make it perfect..(Elder who I considered /was my first mentor ('mentor') until .. I called Alexander Elder a bs'er now I think he's just insane....tells us to test on our own data ..he shows us stuff that doesn't work/his systems then says that)
I dunno if this is going too much into trading anecdotes, euphemisms ..but, a bad plan is better than having no plan at all..er; umm ..I’ll let you decide, but yes; the importance of a clear, written trading plan ..

you don’t talk fast ..

best way to spot (a mentor) if wanna trade intraday..see if they tell you how to place a stop; ‘cos if they don’t .. it's amazing, no one .. lol w/ all the strategies out there, no one ever tells you how - intraday - to do it (good luck trying to calculate your pos size IRT) ..
There’s nuances as in wanna trade momentum know a trade should work instantly tight stop is warranted ..but it should be dynamic ..

You can use volatility to set fixed stops you’re still taking volatility into acct ..

..yea; I like t/p orders but nvr the idea of arbitrarily exiting ..prefer a trailing stop ..equally taking 50% off ..

I've greatly enjoyed watching your videos. I'm trying to understand how to trade crypto. I started with your Ichimoku video and have now spent hours upon hours watching your content (on top of days and weeks of watching other content before finding this channel).

I feel like I'm missing out on a really important point you're making with the example at the end concerning a stop loss at -30 pips. I've been practicing on tradingview, and everything seems to show in tics, which I guess is the equivalent.

If I place a trade with a stop loss of -30, and the trade moves up 50 pips, and then I move the stop loss to 0... if the price comes back down to where I entered the trade then I made no money at all. You speak about pulling out half and if the price breaks even you still made money, but how is that so?

Thanks in advance! This channel is an absolute insane wealth of knowledge!

The "capping your upside" statements are out of context because a ratio of 2 or 3:1 are things you should see on a chart AT MINIMUM to even consider getting into a trade. In essence its not a cap, it could be for some, but it shouldn't be.

my bad habbit is not waiting for certain closures on time frames i trade on. I use price action to help me know when is a better time to enter a trade to still want for a better oppertunity. I would at times jump the gun, and usually then not i would experinece drawn down and get stopped out or wait hours beofre my trade goes into profit, and could of have a better entry. but at the times i waited for candle closures for my entires, my trade would experince either none or little drawn down and would hit my take profit.

I initially got into a short position on GBP/JPY at 199.34 and put in a stop order at 70 pips above and a limit order at 70 pips below. My reasoning for going short was pretty flimsy. I went short because this area was tested as support on the downside twice in a row. Then it finally broke down below it to about 197.2. My other reason was that old support should become resistance and there were two upside tests that were unsuccessful as resistance because both times it hit that area on the upside, it continued. I figured the big backs were going to push it down at that area since the other two times it continued up from that area. I came within a few pips of being stopped out. Then my trade came close to being 50 pips in the profit, then it reversed back up. I modified my stop loss to break even and switched to a long position. The pair went up just high enough to tag my new stop order before it resumed the downward move. The pair hit my 70 pip original target but I was long instead of short so I got stopped out at a 70 pip loss. I hate it when the market plays games like this. What did I do wrong in reference with this trade?

No indicators work. Support/Resistance doesn't work. I think the best way for me to trade, which I haven't tried yet, is to do the opposite of my analysis. If every decision I make is wrong, wouldn't the opposite have to be right? (George Costanza method)

My trading plan includes getting 10pips per day. I didn't care how volatility (price moves per candle) affects as described in this video.

I used to get into the trade based on Stoch RSI crossover in overbought/oversold area or MACD crossover.

In initial days I used to keep 10pips stop loss in all currency pairs [bad habit: not adustable]. Then I didn't get good result in those days. To fit the system I removed using stop loss and kept trade running max 30pips loss [bad habit: "feel" based stop loss]. My trade results improved a lot but I had to monitor the trades frequently. I had large drawdown to 20+ pips just to get 10pips profit [bad habit: restricted profits]. This is same thing saying RR of 2:1 or 3:1.

Hello, I don't think you're going to see this but I'm only a couple videos/podcast into your free course and this video really hit home, so I'll make it short: thanks to you I realized one of my biggest mistakes as a 2 week old trader was my entry points. Now if it wasn't for you, I would've told myself: "yeah just enter higher and you're set bro" , but then you came along and made me realize that although my entries are a problem, they are not the main problem, the main problem was my psychology. That's when I finally said "hey wait maybe this dude makes sense because he's actually going against the grain". I didn't even set up a demo account yet as I am waiting to properly absorb information , but 2 days in you've already made me a better person, and if I'm a better person, I'm automatically a better trader. Being a schizophrenic person myself, the way you explain things are really motivating me to push harder, everyone else is just "do this and enter at support, sell at resistance". Thank you from Montreal and I wish you a happy new year

I wasn’t sure where to put this but for the first time I just became funded with a prop forex firm and I’ve passed my first phase of two phases with a second firm on a much larger trial account. All thanks to VP and this strategy/algorithm. And thanks to Stonehill as well. I “thought” I was using this system correctly and did not pass. Went back to the proverbial drawing board and also joined stone hill (I am not in anyway affiliated, paid by or otherwise compensated for saying this). Using these I had quite a few “ah ha” moments of clarity on things I was doing absolutely completely wrong even though I had my algo built and thought I was teasing correctly. I didn’t change my algo at all I just learned what I was doing wrong, made the changes and boom! Stick with this… this works! Thanks VP!

Worst bad habit - overthinking shit. I am overthinking the entry, when I get in the trade, I am overthinking what I did. No matter what I do, I keep drop-kicking myself in the gutt. But that is born from a lack of confidence. What you are peddling is confidence in what I will be putting out and developing the faith to let it run its course, even if it fails. Cause, even if it fails, correct trade management will be able to sustain the loss. So, I am learning to do it right at the outset, drop the damn thing and let it do it's thing.

At the end of the tunnel doesn't look so dark, anymore, VP. This is my second time around doing this, but this time, the vision is a lot clearer. A whole lot clearer.

I took a course from Online Trading Academy called Core Strategy. It was based on the Supply / Demand rules. Which I have figured out very well. I followed it up by a course in Forex trading which gave me the basics but essentially was weak in any thing other than Supply / Demand. From a previous post by you I have learned that strategy is not developed with Forex in mind. 3 years now wondering why I still didn't get it. Back to the drawing board. I am glad I took the classes I did, but my preference is in Forex Trading and that's the road I am on.
